Some news in a nutshell…

One of the main reasons we started this blog, apart from our collective love of writing, was to document our lives in a collaborative way that allowed us all to come together despite our distance. We have experienced life’s most transitional years on these pages; from graduating, moving cities, starting new careers, traveling, buying homes, and …. I’m excited to share, getting married! Just two weeks ago, while in Ireland, and more specifically, enjoying the spectacular views of the Cliffs of Moher, my boyfriend of 8 years, got down on one knee and proposed. We went on to spend 10 days traveling the Northern coast of Ireland, spontaneously stopping for photos and meals and taking in as many Irish traditions as possible. It was the perfect way to celebrate our relationship, just the two of us, in a place that is incredibly romantic and wildly friendly.

It feels slightly strange revealing such a new and intimate moment in our lives for all our readers to see, but us nuts have used this platform to reveal a lot about ourselves over the years and it only seems appropriate to continue on that path. I hope that our readers follow along as wedding plans are discussed, and ideas/thoughts are posted here throughout the journey – who doesn’t love some good ol’ fashion wedding talk, right? And if you don’t, then know that we will continue to post all the things you come to us for.

Nonetheless, I’m thrilled to even be discussing the premise of a life with a guy I met at 18 years old (!!!) who was the loudest in my residence, the wildest in my frosh group and the most entertaining on karaoke nights. It still doesn’t seem real, but it also seems so very right. Here’s to an exciting year (or more) ahead, with the nuts and so many loved ones by our side…can’t wait to share all the excitement! Happy weekend xo

    Congratulations Kaylee and Nick.
Nick it took eight long years but, in the end, you got a wonderful girl and so the total effort was well worth it.
There is one thing though, Nick………………..while in Ireland, Kaylee took you to the very edge of a cliff that dropped off into the Atlantic Ocean………………I guess that setting was very relevant in having you come to the conclusion that a proposal was definitely in order.
