Following Kanye West’s typically dramatic Grammy rant (is there any other kind?) about Beyoncé’s Album of the Year loss to Beck, a mysterious mediator operating under the Soundcloud moniker Beckyoncé has been kind enough to show everyone that the two nominees actually play very, very nice together – in more ways than one.
The middle man magically mashed Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and Beck’s 1993 hit, “Loser,” to become “Single Loser (Put A Beck On It)” – an awesomely gritty (thanks to Beck’s famed guitar twangs) twist on Queen Bey’s single gal’s anthem. As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s brilliant.
I think we can now all agree that West’s controversial rant was the most perfectly timed publicity stunt, four days prior to the release of his Yeezy shoe line roll-out, and move along with our lives. Happy Friday!
