When I was younger, glasses were something that embarrassed me. I was the only one of my friends who needed glasses all the time and I hated it. I wore contacts religiously and only turned to my glasses when I was home alone. With age, I’ve come to realize that glasses are actually something to embrace. And for the past few years, glasses have become a big part of my personal style. A lover of thick frames, I’ve been known to coordinate my looks based on which glasses I feel like wearing. Last fall, I showed off a few of my frames for you, and everyone really loved the newest pair I was rocking, courtesy of Clearly.ca.
After a long, dreary winter, I knew I wanted to update my look again. I’ve always gravitated towards more neutral colours for glasses and figured that this time, I should think outside the box. When Clearly reached out to show us their new Derek Cardigan Retro Luxe Gold Collection, I was loving all of the bright and bold colours.
As we come into summer, I’ve been having fun styling my new frames. They’re a fun pop of colour to incorporate into otherwise neutral outfits. While I still love my black and brown frames, this pair is definitely a keeper!
