A year ago today, the five of us came together to celebrate a milestone – the first anniversary of our little blog that could. And here we are, another year older, reflecting (yet again) about the success we’ve had, the hardships we’ve faced, the lessons we’ve learned and the true sense of pride and joy that we receive on a daily-basis as a result of this wonderful site.
A meeting of the minds and hearts, inanutshell has been our outlet for anything and everything over the past two years. Not only has it been a space that has allowed us to take chances and really put ourselves out there but more importantly, it’s united us as friends and collaborators, serving as a reason to keep us talking everyday despite chaotic schedules and long distance.
As a group, we’ve laughed over the amateur nature of our first few posts and are so proud to see the way that inanutshell has evolved over the past two years. This past year, specifically, we’ve made some changes that we’re really proud of; we’ve eliminated some of our features and replaced them with fresh content. We’ve seen our style mature, from the restaurants we’ve reviewed, to the home decor that we’ve featured. Most notably, with the help of our design-guru, Phil Adrien, we gave inanutshell an aesthetic make-over. Its visual impact finally matches the carefully crafted content that we produce.
The best part of seeing our blog evolve is seeing that we’ve created a space for our dedicated readers to grow with us. We are so truly grateful for the outpouring of support that we continue to receive. We are blessed to have such a wonderful group of readers and supporters and we promise to continue working hard to bring you the content that you’ve come to rely on us for. And whether you like or retweet our posts or seek us out in person to say you LOVED something (or everything) we do, please know that you continually make our days and we love you for it.
So, where do we go from here? I think it’s safe to say that we can only hope to continue to grow inanutshell even more over the next year. I think that we’ve really hit our stride as bloggers and the future looks pretty bright on the horizon. But, that being said, at two years old, you’re still a toddler. So while we’re proud of what we have accomplished, we’re always looking for ways to improve and evolve and we love interacting with our readers. So, please, if there’s any content that you’d like to see featured or feedback to provide, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We’d love to hear from you.
Finally, on a personal note, I’d like to say just how special it is to work with a group of such smart, funny and talented women. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of something so wonderful and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us.
**special thanks to one of our #1 supporters, Kelly Michael, for making the sweetest collage of photos (above) for our anniversary.
Great job ladies! It’s been fun over the past 2 years watching the five of you grow this site into something that I look forward to all the time! Each of you brings individual and unique talent, passion, expertise and most of all, heart into your postings. Bravo, I can’t wait to see what year 3 brings…. and I know it will be great!
Congratulations Reese!
Your well-written article captures in a nutshell, so to speak, the growth and maturing of your blog over the last two years.
It also demonstrates the growth and maturing of five great friends over the same period of time.
