Need a quick fix for your current state of mind? Here are 10 easy things to get you back in the groove:
10. Scroll allllll the way back to the first album you posted on Facebook and be thankful for the way you look/dress now.
9. Google “bloopers + [your favourite show/movie]” and TRY not to laugh. Just try. (i.e. Friends, Seinfeld, The Hangover, Bridesmaids, Superbad)
8. Take the time to make a seasonal bucket list and then display it proudly, so you don’t forget to follow through : )
7. Treat yourself to a mani/pedi, or a pair of shoes. Materialistic, but effective.
6. Perform a random act of kindness, like paying for the car behind you at the drive-thru, or baking cookies for the office.
5. Drop everything and go to a yoga, pilates, kickboxing or barre class. Sweat it out!
4. Watch anything involving Jimmy Fallon. But most notably, each rendition of The History of Rap ft. JT and the Emma Stone lipsynch-off.
3. Write a hand written note to brighten someone else’s day, and then actually mail it.
2. Put down your cell phone, close your laptop, put away your head phones, turn off the TV and get outside.
1. But then…put your head phones back on and listen to Beyonce.
Honourable mention: Watch Pharrell’s “Happy” video, because it’s just too obvious, but also, so cheerful.
