It’s been a little while since we’ve done a Midday Musings post, a collection of fun and interesting things floating around the web. This week, there’s been so many stories that have caught my eye, I just had to share them with all of you!
1. Royal Baby Fever
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their first bundle of joy into the world. We absolutely ADORE Kate Middleton anyway, but we loved her even more after picking a polka-dotted dress that mirrored the dress worn by William’s mother, Princess Diana when showing off their son to the world. On top of that, Prince William was hilarious and humble leaving the hospital.
But, the question still remained – what would they name the newest Royal? When the settled on George, hilarity ensued…
2. Random Acts of Kindness
Feel like doing something nice for someone else today? Why not start at Tim Horton’s? Three Canadian cities have experience Timmy-Ho random acts of kindness, and Ottawa happens to be one of them! At the Trainyards location in the east end of Ottawa, a random good Samaritan payed for 100 coffees (with a bill of $860) to be passed on to upcoming customers. Not only is this SO Canadian, but so nice. A more affordable option? Paying for the person behind you in the drive-thru. Even if it’s only $5, you’re sure to make someone’s day!
3. Wanderlust
I have been experiencing some serious travel itches lately. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to hit the open road or hit the open airs to travel and this video certainly reminded me why. Listing the top trips to take in your twenties, this video definitely makes me want to abandon it all and hit the highway. But, luckily I do have a vacation in early 2014 planned and it even checks off one of the suggestions on the list. How many have YOU done?
