Being a blogger can be kind of awesome…
We are THRILLED to have been asked to host the red carpet at Unsung Hero Apparel’s 2nd Annual Christmas Charity Gala, in support of the Ottawa Senators Foundation, this Sunday, Dec. 14.
Unsung Hero Apparel has been on our radar for a while. Not only are they an awesome local (!) apparel company, that is constantly coming up with new ideas and designs, but their business model is built on helping others. Something we, at In a Nutshell, greatly admire and respect.
Since its inception in 2009, Unsung Hero Apparel has raised over $50,000 in the Ottawa community for various charities in need, while preaching it’s “No Quit, All Hustle” attitude to life and work.
They also believe in building up those around you, which if you’ve been hanging out with us for a while, you’ll know we’re big fans of.
This Sunday’s event is a fun-filled, festive night to raise money for less fortunate children in the Ottawa community. The Sens Foundation helps local children by funding programs in social recreation, education and physical and mental wellness. It is also a big supporter of Roger’s House—is a pediatric respite and palliative care home dedicated to enhancing the comfort and quality of life of children and families in a time of need. Needless to say, it’s a cause we are proud to support.
The event will kick off at 7 p.m. with yours truly on the red carpet. Meghan & I will be representing the entire In a Nutshell crew by getting guests warmed up for the camera. I won’t reveal all of our tricks, you’re just going to have to buy a ticket and find out!
After a 7 p.m. cocktail hour with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres, special presentations will take place before the party kicks off with live entertainment. Good friend of ours, and TSN host, Rob Romeo will also be hosting the shindig and I can guarantee it will go down among the best Christmas parties this city will see this season.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.
Last year was a sell-out, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
