After spending a weekend in the Maritimes, I now know what all the fuss is about.
Oceanside views, salty sea air, picturesque harbours. Lobster, crab and chowder beyond belief. Gorgeous vineyards, delicious wines, friendly folk and all around good times.
I’m truly looking forward to my next visit and, until then, here are a few photo keepsakes of my Labour Day long weekend spent in Halifax.
-Peggy’s cove lighthouse-
-Exploring Peggy’s Cove-
-Lonely looking boats and abandoned lobster traps-
-Me: contemplating the swim out to the boat-
-Halifax waterfront and some delicious looking catch-
-Beach of pebbles by the Atlantic-
-Domaine de Grand Pre Vineyard-
-A little piece of heaven at Le Caveua, the restaurant beside the winery. Literally the modern day Secret Garden.-
-Filling our tummies before a wine tasting.-
It’s like a dream province, isn’t it? I am so happy you got to all the good places! Where did you stay? I also can’t believe i took it for granted for the first 18 years of my life….. <3 Halifax
